Wishing Well Acres is a growing nonprofit farm where families connect with animals, agriculture, nature, and one another. What began as a dream is becoming a place of belonging, discovery, celebration, and lasting memories for communities across West Texas and southeastern New Mexico.
Our Mission
Wishing Well Acres exists to provide an affordable, family-centered destination where people of all ages can connect with nature, farm animals, education, and one another. Through community events, educational programs, and charitable outreach, we strive to create lasting memories while improving the quality of life for families in our region.
Why Connection Matters
Loneliness and social isolation affect people of every age and are especially challenging in rural communities where affordable gathering opportunities may be limited. Research shows that meaningful social connection and sharing meals with others are associated with greater life satisfaction, improved emotional well-being, and reduced loneliness. Through community meals, farm experiences, educational programs, animals, nature, and volunteer service, Wishing Well Acres Foundation is working to create a welcoming place where people can connect and belong.
What Exists Today
Today, Wishing Well Acres is a 22-acre working farm filled with animals, open skies, and room for people to gather. Guests can meet our ponies, pigs, goat, calf, ostriches, chickens, ducks, cats, and guardian dog; enjoy campfire nights and outdoor activities; and take part in seasonal gatherings and community events. Every visit helps this young organization grow.
The Future We Are Building
Our vision is to create a welcoming regional destination where families gather, children explore, and community grows. Future plans include expanded animal and educational areas, gardens and an operational greenhouse, a festival field, improved gathering and event spaces, seasonal programs, community meals, volunteer opportunities, and charitable outreach. Each improvement will be built thoughtfully as funding and community support become available.
